Thiago P B Bessimo is a PhD candidate at the Hertie School in Berlin, Germany. His doctoral research examines foreign policy elites in middle powers, with particular attention to the determinants of middle power alignment with great powers. His broader research interests lie in Foreign Policy Analysis and the application of computational methods to International Relations.
He holds an MSc in Administration from FGV-EBAPE, an MA in China Studies from the Yenching Academy of Peking University, and a BA in International Relations from La Salle University in Rio de Janeiro. He is a co-founder of Observa China 观中国.
